"My practice investigates threshold states through acrylic paintings shaped by perspectival tension. Both enclosed and open out, they subtly direct and destabilise the viewer’s gaze. These unstable spaces echo the shifting ground of contemporary experience.
Familiar settings are reconfigured through the altered perception that followed a neurological event. Space becomes unreliable as angles slip and viewpoints tilt, inviting the viewer into a world that feels recognisable yet quietly estranged.
Duality is a lived condition here. A distant, unreachable light — typically an orientating force — begins to falter, introducing a quiet unease. Clarity and dislocation, stillness and movement, coexist — making instability not just visible, but shared."
